SURFING PASSION ON THE LANDES COAST

Holidays and weekends are also times when we want to practice and also try out sports activities  alongside  discovering  places  that  go  out off  the  beaten  track  like  on the
Landes coast located in the Landes department in the Nouvelle Aquitaine  region which offers ideal conditions for practicing surfing with a diverse maritime environment.

Located in the  Sourth  West  of France  and  bordered by the Atlantic  Ocean, it  has a  coastline dotted with dunes, fine sandy beaches and forests, the Landes Coast,a natural maritime area located in the  Landes department in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region and extending over an area that goes from Biscarosse beach  to Tarnos  beach located at the mouth of the port of Bayonne is a  radiant  territory  which  enchants  with the  diversity  and  variety  of its landscapes which also
delight water sports enthusiasts, particularly  surfing  enthusiasts,  alongside the  initiations and practices offered which
are  accessible  in  the  numerous  and  substantial  surf  spots  existing in  parallel with  the  corresponding stations and designated spaces. The  ultimate  invigorating  sport, Surfing, which  practice  on  surfing sites  called "Spots" which are
made up of beaches bathed by wawes of diffrent powers,is an individual sporting practice which consists, with the help
of  a  suitable  board,of  sliding  on  breaking   waves  on  the  seashore.  The name "Surf" appeared   in  France  in  1952, complementing the Anglo-Saxon name "Surf Riding" in parallel with the practice of surfing, which  became  effective at the end of the 1950s with the first  club  created in  1959 on  the  Basque  Coast. Requiring  good  wave conditions with    wind or swell, Surfing is mainly practiced on three  types of waves  which  may  vary  depending on the spots and which
are listed in 3 with 1 / hollow or plunging waves 2 / soft or little waves powerful and in 3 / small swell waves and in their
great  majority,  the  »shortboarders or surfers»  prefer  the  category  1  hollow   waves  which  are  the  most  powerful
without necessarily being the largest  and as  soon as  it  starts in  the  wave  spotting  position, the surfer lies flat on his
stomach on his board with his 2 arms on each  side  of this  one while  rowing and as soon as he feels that the wave lifts
him,he eows faster to then push with his hands while leaning on his arms to get into position parallel to the positioning
of his 2 legs flexed which serve as a shock absorber and balancer in  addition to  his posture  leaning over his surfboard
whic is made mainly of polyester resin and fiberglass.
