Noirmoutier: The Island of Mimosas
After a 45-minute crossing in a comfortable high-speed ship that connects Port Joinville to Fromentine La Barre De Monts, we head for the island of Noirmoutier which, in addition to its proximity to the continent and its easy access, is welcoming in its composition which has earned it the nickname Mimosa Island is delightful to admire, especially when it begins to bloom at the end of January. of Herbaudière located in the north-west part of the island, where lobsters, soles, spider crabs and crabs are landed and
then wonderfully prepared and cooked.The particularity of our territories and in particular of our islands is to preserve
traditions that we find in the professions in the same way as in gastronomy with traditional farm recipes passed down from generation to generation which are also found in another flagship product of the island which is the famous bonnotte which is a succulent potato which grows in sandy soil enriched with seaweed. Visiting the island of Yeu and Noirmoutier by bicycle is the simplest and most natural way to discover them. while rubbing shoulders with them very closely in unique places integrating all that nature has to offer that is most noble and these 2 islands are fascinating and
surprising because they can delight both nature lovers, sports enthusiasts and those who love wide open spaces, history enthusiasts, as their heritage and past are so rich, and artists who love colours and their varieties expressed as well in
broad daylight as well as at sunset on its majestic beaches and coasts full of emotion.
