Hiking and walking are among the French's favorite leisure activities and what could be
more attractive than traveling the Loire by bike which will be an opportunity for you
discoveries of unique places with radiant landscapes coupled with a rich and diverse heritage witness to our history.
Crossing 4 territories which are respectively the regions Auvergne Rhône Alpes, Burgundy Franche Comté, Center and Pays De La Loire, the Loire River, whose source takes effect at 1404 meters altitude on the southern slope of Mont
Gerbier de Jonc located in the department of Ardèche , extends over more than 1006 kilometers while crossing
harmoniously the 4 regions concerned before joining the Atlantic Ocean in the estuary located to the west of the
Pays De La Loire region. The longest river in France, complete with easy-to-access natural spaces with places to visit, accommodation and leisure activities, the Loire often offers visitors surprises at every step it takes pleasant to discover
during bicycle escapades along its paths and other well-designed and marked trails for fans of the little queen and
delimited within the framework of cycle touring roads including 900 kilometers which connect Cuffy located near
Nevers in the Niévre department in the Bourgogne Franche Comté region to the seaside resort of Saint Brévin Les
Pins located at the mouth of the estuary in Loire Atlantique. Travel and follow the course of the Loire by bicycle, whether individually or with families during group outings that will delight young and old is a pure marvel because,in
addition to this pleasant feeling of freedom, you can stop at any time to either admire its gentle undulating banks which
mark its course or discover an atrypical place related to the rich history of the river and its tributaries. The main advantage of the bicycle is its flexibility and mobility and the practical cycling, whether on roads or tracks in theses
spaces as beautiful as they are unusual, is well suited and constitutes the best way to discover them while being close to its visible nature in its pure state.
Magical And Great Colors
Endowed with radiant landscapes where magical and magical colors emerge at daybreak, the Loire also has in its environment a magnificently preserved architectural heritage that bears witness to our history that we observed while
visiting places like the Château D'Angers or during stops at the top of its bridges in addition to harmoniously flowered villages and towns like Saint Florent Le Vieil, Béhuard or even La Charité Sur Loire which is pleasant to visit while
wandering through its streets and alleys often decorated with typical architecture dotted with brightly colored flowers.
The practice of sport and local leisure activities is a permanent fact that we find in this radiant territory alongside an active cultural life offered by events all year round in addition to the discovery of local traditions, particularly wine-growing, which are well identified along the routes or even the presentation and promotion of artisanal products made
with tradition and know-how by local craftsmen. Another specificity that it is pleasant to contemplate in these places
expressing all the diversity of our terroirs is the richness and variety of its fauna and flora to admire in particular birds such as the Little Egret, the Little Tern, the Cormorant or even the Osprey in the same way as other species animals listed and reintroduced in the 1970s, notably European beavers. Traveling the Loire by bike is an enriching experience
that allows you to discover preserved places in their original states where there are unique and welcoming places where it is good to stop , relaxation stops designed for conviviality, accommodation or even breaks between 2 hikes supplemented by natural spaces that we never tire of discovering where culture, history, art of living and harmony of landscapes constantly combine.
